Closing Conference of the project ,,Revitalization and promotion of cultural heritage of minorities in Oltenia in the context of cultural diversity’’
Unniversity of Craiova – Faculty of Letters, in partnership with the Romanian Academy Institute of Ethnography and Folklor ,,Constantin Brăiloiu” and with the Norwegian Institute of Theology from Oslo, have implemented between 2014-2016 the project ,, Revitalization and promotion of cultural patrimony of minorities from Oltenia in the context of cultural diversity”, identification number LLP116/08.04.2014, financed within the Programme PA17/RO13 ,,Promotion of diversity in culture and arts within European Cultural Heritage”, SEE grant.
The following long term project Objectives have been reached throughout the implementation:
- increasing the level of knowledge on the cultural heritage of ethnic minorities from Oltenia, through analysis methods and scientific documentation (social and cultural anthropology, ethnology, sociology, cultural history, religion, visual arts, etc);

Completion of the permanent collection "The revitalization and promotion of cultural heritage of ethnic communities in Oltenia"
The visits schedule of the collection: Monday -Friday between 09.00-15.00 hours and Saturday, Sunday between 09.00-14.00.
On February 24, 2016 the permanent collection named "The revitalization and promotion of cultural heritage of ethnic communities in Oltenia", organized within the activity A6. Production of goods and services related to cultural minorities, including the Roma minority in Oltenia - A6.2. Actual development of the collection and events was open to the public.
The collection was organized by the expert curator in collaboration with the project manger. The purpose of organizing this collection is the recovery and revitalization of cultural diversity and traditional culture of ethnic groups in the region.
To organize the collection, the expert curator underwent a series of complex steps: compiling and completing the general bibliography on the topic; mapping the main ethnic communities in Oltenia; questionnaires research on the topic; theoretical and photographic syntheses on the traditional ethnic costumes and objects: Bulgarian, Roma, Greeks, Albanians, ...

Stage of the achievement of interdisciplinary study about the minorities' cultures in oltenia (activity 4.2)
COMPLETION OF THE INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDY ON THE CULTURES OF MINORITIES FROM OLTENIA (ACTIVITY 4.2) – February 2016
The interdisciplinary team of the project, has completed in October 2015 the study on the cultures of minorities in Oltenia, following a thorough desk research and field research - the content of the study was structured and revised.
The study represents a meaningful analysis of the most representative ethnic groups in Oltenia in the context of cultural pluralism, covering several fields (law, religion, ethnology, ethnography, sociology, cultural anthropology) inserted in a coherent and complementary sequence.
In February 2016 the editing of the interdisciplinary study was also completed and the printing and distributing of the study to the relevant public has begun.
